We have two air freight shipments twice weekly from Miami to Barbados on Tuesdays and Fridays. Packages must be actioned to ship by the customer via their CIF EXPRESS customer online portal no later than 12 noon the day prior to the flight (Mondays and Fridays respectively).

Ocean freight shipments are on a request basis. For this service customers must send an email to express@cifbarbados.com. For this service customers DO NOT action packages to ship from the CIF EXPRESS customer online portal.

Air freight shipping charges are paid online via the CIF EXPRESS customer online portal when the customer actions their packages to be shipped. Applicable local duties, taxes and customs clearance charges are paid at destination.

Ocean Freight charges are paid at destination.

This handled by our Barbados office. You will only customs clearance charges if a customs entry is required by customs (For Duty Payable items and Duty Free items) Items that customs determine to be NCV (No Commercial Value) do not attract duties and do not require customs clearance.

Ocean Freight

The customer can clear customs themselves for personal effects, appoint a customs broker for commercial cargo or We can provide this service at an additional charge.

Air Freight

Rates start at USD 4.75 for the 1st pound (LB) + our Miami WR handling fee USD 1.50 per package plus insurance USD 1.50 per $100.00 or part thereof. The rate per pound (LB) goes down as the weight goes up. A Fuel surcharge is applicable on all packages 3lbs and over. Please contact us for our complete rate sheet.

Customers have 30 days free of storage after a package has been received at the Miami warehouse. After 30 days and the packages remain in our warehouse a storage fee of USD 5.00 per calendar will be applicable. Packages remaining at the warehouse after 3 months will be considered abandoned by the customer and will be discarded without further notification to the customer.

Ocean Freight

Customers have 30 days free of storage after cargo has been received at the Miami warehouse. After 30 days and the cargo remains in our warehouse a storage fee of USD 10.00 per box and USD 25.00 per pallet per calendar will be applicable. Cargo remaining at the warehouse after 3 months will be considered abandoned by the customer and will be discarded without further notification to the customer.

If you do order prohibited goods, we will make every effort to advise you that we have received them and that we will not be able to ship them. It is then your responsibility to arrange a return or alternative US delivery address, or to give us instructions to dispose of them.

Please do not ship these products to your Miami address as they cannot be shipped to your country and you will need to pay for their destruction or the cost of returning them to the shipper.
